hello All, hope all is well.

I have a question about work experience reference letters for ITA documents. I have entered all my work experience in my EE which dates back to 2005. I have no longer contact with neither the company nor the employees. all have left that company. how important is getting those reference letters and uploading them to EE profile?

can I put a document saying I don't have any connection with that company since a lot had changed in the past 10+ years?

how can I convince the officer?

please advise.

thanks in advance.

If you’re not claiming points for it, move it in personal history.
IRCC only considers work experience in the past 10 years, so your experience in 2005 does not even add any value or points to your PR profile so you can remove them. It’s a wasted effort to even put that in your profile.

thank you for your reply and apologies for late reply.

as per IRCC's Points per Factor, 3 years and above have 25 points. so basically more than three years of work experience don't have more points. however, because I've been working since 2007 (sorry for the previous wrong date), I've entered my work expience since 2007 in the basic profile submission of EE with which I got the invitation. now, I can't reach out the companies I've worked for from 2007 to 2012 to get a employment letter. what would I face if I delete them from my PR application and only submit the ones I have which are from 2012 up to now?

will they fail me or something?

thank you in advance.

As what I’ve said, only the past 10 years are considered so from 2011 onwards. I assume you still have your work experience letters from 2012 onwards? That’s should be enough to get 3 years foreign work experience.

if you delete any work experience, add an LOE to explain why you removed it.

after deleting it, make sure:
1) still meet the MEC of the program you were invited in (FSW, CEC, FST + if you were nominated under PNP
2) new CRS is higher than the cut off score of the round you were invited in.
