hello everybody

I have a specific work experience that I would like to add to my work history, (I waited until now to insert it, cause I wasn't sure if I can collect all the supporting docs but now that I have everything I would really like to use it to collect more points).

This is a seasonal job so even though I work for the company for 6 consecutive years the jobs is definitely not 6 years but is a total of 600 hours.

How should I insert this job?

I think you have no choice but to list each period of employment separately (it will look like 6 different jobs). But later, you can upload one Letter of reference for each.

Part of the reason you have to do it that way is because IRCC will not be able to determine how much "time" to credit you for unless you tell them how many hours you worked per week, when you were working.

Thank you,

I can definitely report each single job, but I have another concern....each year I worked less than a month because the job was related to event planning, and only lasted for the duration of the festival and the planning part 100 hours/season.

It will be OK if I state on EE
may 2006-may 2006
may 2007-may 2007
may 2008-may 2008
......
and then divide the hours by 4 (weekly hours 25) to make sure I receive the correct points ?

I am not sure if you will be able to use work experience from a seasonal job to boost your points.

If you actually only worked 25 hours per week, then try that out. I'm not sure what the system will do, but that sounds reasonable.

However, if you worked full-time, then this then you will not be receiving correct points. Any time you work 30 or more hours per week, it is simply "full time" and you do not count hours (or if you do, you can count a maximum of 30). "Counting hours" is for part-time workers, defined as working fewer than 30 hours per week. For example, if you worked 50 hours a week for 2 weeks - that counts as 2 weeks / 60 hours...

Also note that you can only get credit for work in the past 10 years - you should not include experience from may 2006....

This may be more headache than it is worth - are you certain it will increase your points? I assume you're talking about this work in addition to other foreign work experience?

Yes you are correct, it's foreign work experience. I think I will leave it...
