Dear All,

Kindly help me with the following :

in CIC website it's written that the work experience 1 year ( 30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1560 hours) )

yet , in the country i am working , the working hours are 40 - 48 hours per week , can i consider this as more or less ?

or should it be for the whole year ..

I need your inputs please ...

Absolutely not!!!!!!!!! 1-year (52 FT weeks) and 1560 hours are both required. Every week that you worked more than 30 hours count it as a full-time week and for weeks less than 30 add up hours to find the equal full-time week.

For example:
Week1,2,3,4=45 hours (=4 full-time weeks)
Week5,6=40 hours (=2 full-time weeks)
Week7=24 hours (part time week)
Week8=22 hours (part time week)
Week9=12 hours (part time week)

Total=4+2+[(22+24+12)/30]=7 FT weeks

CIC defines full time as 30 hr/wk

If you worked more than 30 hr/wk, CIC counts 30, not more.

Thus, you must have both 1560 hrs and 1 calendar year to be qualify for 1 year experiences.

every day i am working for 48 hours a day , and this is per the contract with the company i have been working for 9 Months

is this considered as a 1 year experience ??

that's only 9 months.... You could've worked 50 hours a week, still is just a week.

You have completed the 1560 hrs, but not the 1 calendar year, that just 9 months, its not enough yet

Simple: CIC does not count hours that you worked more than 30 in a week. So 48hours/week=30hours/week
