Hello Everyone

I hope everyone is doing well.

I got my Post Graduate Work Permit in March 2020. I am getting a job offer with a 10 months contract under NOC (0, A, B).

My question is, do I need to get a 12-month experience from the same employer to apply for Express Entry under CEC or

I can work under different employer after my 10-month contract finish.

I am asking this question as this page says, it should be one employer for CEC

Any kind of help will be appreciated.

Thank you.

The link you quoted has nothing to do with work experience. It's regarding job offers.

To answer your questions, the work experience can be under multiple employers.

Hello Scylla

Thank you for your reply.

If I get a 10 months contract job offer it means I will get 10 months of work experience after that I may need to quit the job.

The link, on the other hand, says this "a valid job offer for Express Entry only needs to be for one year or more" and "for one employer for CEC

I am confused here. Should I accept the offer?

hello there,
i am in kinda same situation. i have work experience with 3 different employers i.e 3 months(noc 7305), 5 months (noc 2132) and currently working my 4 th month (noc 7305). all these employers are situated in montreal (canada). can anybody point to me that this is eligible for express entry under CEC?

( i will be moving to manitoba after ITA since quebec doesn't qualify for EE)

As Scylla tried to explain, they are completely different issues. The "job offer" described in the link refers to a job offer for AFTER you become a permanent resident (this is optional, for bonus points only). There is no job offer requirement for CEC. A job offer before you are eligible for PR is irrelevant to CEC.

You can take a 10 month contract, and then find another job after, and combine the experience to meet the 1 year requirement.

Yes, they sound like they would be eligible, as long as you are talking about complete months (not partial) - that is, 52 weeks of full-time work.

Thank you. Complete month means??
I counted weeks. 11 weeks, 23 weeks and 18 weeks..
is there a minimum criteria for the length of time for the work to be considered.. let say work should at least 3 months or 2 months??

1. No, as long as it adds up to 52 weeks with a minimum of 30 hours per week.
