Did you get an ITA w/ Self Employed work experience within Canada? I don't know why you would be required to provide all that when you don't even get any points for it.nick.rwth said:You need detailed job description from your clients, signed by them. copy of job contract and copy of pay slips or money transfers from them to you for a carried job.

Hmm...that's news to me - I just checked the 'Self-Employed' box in the Work History section of EE profile and it does not give me any points for work experience and I am now also not eligible for CEC.nick.rwth said:Not true.
If you running business, pay taxes you can get points.
It's not at all that clear-cut. You could request a ruling from the CRA, if they determine that an employer-employee relationship exists despite remuneration arrangements.juliegunawan said:I would think self-employer here will mean work as a contractor. I'm also a little confused in this case as based on CRA, if you work as a contractor and has only 1 client, you would be considered as employed and not self-employer. CIC doesn't mention the definition of self-employed vs contractor. Any thought about this case?
Enough for what? It's not clear what you intend - by now you probably realize that self-employment experience is not valid for CEC.claudia_c said:Hi, I would like to know what papers I have to present as self-employee. I have been working as a computer programmer for over a year and my employer is willing to make me a reference letter. Is this letter enough or should I present anything else?
