I have 4 years of work experience at the same company and same position. But the 4 years were not continuous but divided into 3 duration's; because there was twice a gap of few months.

I have an ITA and when I fill in this detail and reach the upload page it seems to show like 3 upload buttons for the work experience.

My company has already given me a nice reference letter which mentions all the three duration's correct to the date.

Now do I need to get a letter for each duration separately from the same company?

No need for separate letters, upload the same one.

Thank you Stanlee for replying. I was so thinking to put the same common reference letter as first page, and then pay slips, W2 and tax returns of that duration as subsequent pages for each duration's upload. That should be good enough right?

I have a question regarding work experience requirement. I am in the process of submitting my eAPR.

I have work experience of three years with two different positions within the same company. Although my job description is perfectly aligned with the description provided by CIC, but position titles mentioned in my experience letter do not exactly match with titles mentioned by CIC. Would there be any issue due to this mismatch.

Second, I will list down two positions separately, but just want to confirm if I can upload the same letter for both the positions.

Lastly, is there a manadatory requirement to upload pay slip or tax return for these positions.

Hi Shah1989

As per reply of stanlee it may be sufficient for you to have one letter. I was curious to know that did you enter the work experience in two entries? And do you see two upload sections for each position?
I think pay slip and tax returns are not mandatory

Hi rusticdud

In my EE profile, I have entered it as one entry, but in eAPR I am thinking of putting it in two entries because my experience letter identifies both the position. It wont impact the score since category and duration remains the same as mentioned in EE.

Would request if seniors can reply on my job titles mismatch query.

Yes, it should be good enough. Check the instructions next to document upload placeholder.

The following is what CIC says about proof of work experience.

- a reference or experience letter from the employer, which should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company). It should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits; and

- If the work experience is in Canada, proof may include copies of T4 tax information slips and notices of assessment issued by the Canada Revenue Agency (the time period for these documents should reflect the work experience timeframe [e.g., work experience from 2006 to 2008 requires only documents from those calendar years]).

1. Job titles does not matter, what matter is the duties and responsibilities.

2. Yes, you can.
