Hello everyone,

I need help with calculating the work experience for Express Entry FSW Program:

I have officially been in job as a Software Tester for 2 years from Aug 2011 to August 2013. Out of this 1 year is maternity leave from August 2012 to Aug 2013, which I understand is not calculated as experience. ( Please Correct me If I am wrong)

Now the time period in question is Aug 2011 to July 2012. Within this time frame, I have worked 11 months (Aug to May, )however 12th month (July) I was on sick leave and I just got the statutory Sick pay(10% of normal salary).

My question is can I apply for Express entry with the 11 months of full time work and full pay and 12th month of sick leave.
FYI I have Worked 37.5 hours/week which makes 1650 hours (11 months * 20 days * 7.5 hours).

Thanks in advance.

May I know what has been written on your Certificate of Employment? That should be the basis on your number of hours.

if you can get an experience letter saying you worked from 1st August, 2011 to 31st July 2011 you are good. the key thing here is that you employment letter should cover the full 1 year period and number of hours along with other things like duties e.t.c

Thanks for your reply. I will have to check if the HR can make the document as required.

However, In the process, wont they ever ask for pay slips and bank statements for the said period ? And If I provide the slalary slip and bank statement for the 12 months period, will they question about the sick leave once they know?

Sorry, I am asking as I want to be sure and be on the side of caution.

Thanks

If you may be able to provide payslips, they only require the last 3 (latest) payslips. But as mentioned, it is an option.
