Work Experience question - probably relevant for many applicants

Hello members,

Congrats to all who have got the ITA so far! Good luck to others

My query is related to foreign work experience.

How many years of foreign work experience is required to be entered in Express Entry profile.

I have more than 10 years of work-ex, last 7.5 years of foreign work ex in 2 separate companies but initial 2.5 years in the 3rd company

Is it mandatory to enter work-ex for all 3 companies in the EE profile or can I skip the first one which was almost 8-10 years ago? I understand this is not going to make any difference to the points.

The reason is that it might not be easy for me to collect the experience letter from my first company and as per CIC it is mandatory to provide details (including work-ex letter) for all work experience declared.

What's the category you belong to?
If FSW you have to provide details and supporting documents for last 10 years
If CEC only Canadian experience details is sufficient.

Thanks. I am eligible for both and would prefer to apply under CEC.

Since I have claimed points for 3 years of foreign work experience, I thought I need to provide all required details for atleast 3 years of foreign work-ex even when applying under CEC category.

Let me know if that is not correct ?
