Hi Guys !

I'm going to apply as a skilled worker as but I'm not sure if they will accept my work experience or not ! Although I had a job which its listed in the 38 Occupation ( same duties etc.. ) and I do have a letter which it prove that I worked for that position for more than a year full time work and all the duties explained well ! but that was 5 years ago and the company has been sold out to another company and now I'm trying to get any contact from my previous managers but I had no luck . I also don't have any pay slip or some other evidence which it could support this period of employment .

My question is should I go ahead and apply as a skilled worker as I do have that letter and its stamped and there is a header and footer for the company address ? Or better to not waste money and time and just leave because the immigration office will try to contact that employer and hence the company was sold out and there is no contact so there will be no possibility of proving this !
:(

thanks guys

Re: work experience !

I think there may be a case for you in here. Explain your situation in cover letter to CIO and if they decide not to persue your case, they will return your check or draft

Re: work experience !

CIO actually does not check with any one. They review the appliation based on your inputs and either rejects it or recommends it for further processing to local CHC in your country

CHC is the one that does the background check and there are good chances that they will contact the employer. But if you declare this in advance than they can tell you upfront whether your case can be persued further or not and they will not contact your employer. You get the fees back in this case.

I am not aware of any such other case, let us wait for others to comment on it too.

But My opinion is that you will block the fees amount for some time in worst case and it is worth trying

Re: work experience !

Processing time run in many years for people who applied before Feb 2008 and between 8-12 months for peopl who applied after it in general as rules changed in Feb 2008. But it depends on case to case. I have seen people who applied after Feb in 2008 are still waiting and people who applied in 2009 got visas.

You can track time on trackitt.com

Re: work experience !

I want to ask about the Language skills, as the english is not my mother language but I 'v been using the english since 10 years as a first/mother language ( at home + work ) , I have the letters showing that i was using only english at my work place from the previous employers ( at least for the last 4 years ) and also its says that I was supporting the business here in europe + US + Canada + Asia Pasific, and that was only in english , is this enough for them ? or I still have to take the ILETS .

another question guys , my wife is still student right she is doing here undergradute degree now, so she has completed 18 years of full study( Elementary + highschool ) and now as I said she is doing her B.Sc which its 3 years after higschool and she is in the second year so far.
So there is one more year left for her to get the B.Sc. the question is should I consider her as a holder of B.Sc. degree or only highschool ? or how/what should do ?

You need IELTS.

You need to consider your wife high school for immigration purposes till she gets a degree as CHC will require transcripts in university sealed envolope

Hi ankit

You need to submit IELTS results only when you submit detailed documentation to CHC. No need to take IELTS before initial application to CIO.

When you apply to CIO they will ask your English proficiency in economic classes form , just rate your self based on your assesment.
