One of my friends came here on a student visa with fake experience. He did this in order to obtain an easy visa approval. Although he had three years of experience in sales, he presented one year of experience in the field of electrical work to gain admission into an electrical PG course. Note that his bachelor's is in electrical engineering.

He applied for a work permit, where he disclosed his actual 3 years of experience with Byju's, and it was approved. Currently, he is working in Technical Sales on his post-graduate work permit.

Should he apply for Permanent Residency (PR) in the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) program, considering he is already eligible for it? If yes, which experience should he include in his application in order to qualify for FSW? He meets the requirements for FSW with both sets of experiences.

If no, he would need to wait for one year and then apply through the CEC program.

Regardless of the type of the PR application. He should've not misrepresented himself in his study permit application. He must be truthful in any future applications. Since he in fact misrepresented himself he should expect any future application to be refused if the officer notices this and digs more into the fact that he obtained his study permit with fake information.
