Hi everyone,

my company just gave me the letter mentioning about my designation, but no job duties. Please can some one tell me who should sing this SOLEMN AFFIRMATION? Can a lawyer do this?
Thank you.
Have a great day

1. How would a lawyer be able to swear an affidavit about your job duties? He would have no knowledge of them.
2. You are going to have to get either an amended letter, or a copy of your contract which outlines your job duties. Affidavits are considered by CIC as self serving and are discounted.

You should try your best to get a letter mentioning job duties in detail, from your supervisor. In case that is not possible, other superiors/officers/colleagues of yours may also sign one for you.

Self-declared affidavit is of no value in this case of work experience. As PMM said, other documents like offer/appointment letter or work contract might come handy.

Do you have an offer letter and joining letter attach it and attach one payslip

this is in addition to reference letter and this is not in option of reference letter.

Agree, but offer letter and joining letter always contain your job profile, CTC and joining date. It was suggested to me by one of my senior who immigrated to Canada. Kindly recheck.

Hi every one,
Yes I have my work experience letter (But no job duties included there) contract and pay slips. Please give me a suggestion.is it ok if I mentioned my job duties in a cover letter?
Thank you

polwatta my friend, please read the entire post first.

I have same problem. HR told me can give me a letter cover all I need except job duty description. Can I ask my supervisor to write a letter only describing my job responsibilities? but I am not sure the letter can have company stamp on it or not.

You may send them an email and ask to officially deny. Than add your offer letter. Attach the copy of email. Seniors please may confirm.

how about the no job duty description in reference letter of previous job? I got everything, employment letter, promotion letter, tax return, paid slip, reference letter from HR at my resignation. But none of documents show "job duty and responsibilities"? it's 3-4 yrs ago, the HR dept was dismissed, so did my supervisor. I got 5yrs experience from that company so i want to claim points from it. what should I do?

my supervisor already transferred to that company, the one bought our previous company. so now he works under new company name. He may help to write a letter for me but the letter cannot be printed on our old company's paper. It either in plain A4 or in new company's paper, and his name card is new.

is that ok?
