Hi,
I’m filling the express entry profile and have questions on work experience.
I’ve a total of 9.5 years work experience.
Employment 1: IBM India, continuous, Full time, 40 hrs/week, 5 years
Employment 2: current, continuous, full time, 40 hrs/week, 4.5 years
When I left first employer, I received a work experience letter but that doesn’t fit the cic guidelines. I don’t know if they can provide one now. I’m positive that I can get one from my current employer.
Q1. From the CRS perspective, Is there any benefit of showing 9.5 yrs of work experience over 4.5 years? Is it worth spending time to go back to my previous employer and ask for detailed work experience proof?
Q2. Has anyone here seen success in getting such proof from IBM India?
Q3. If 4.5 years is good enough, where should I mention the rest of the experience in EE profile application?
Thanks for your help.
P.S: Forgive my ignorance if this topic has been discussed at length already. I couldn’t find any satisfactory answers when I searched in the forum.
