Just wanted to know if my work experience is valid ?

because my work experience is mix of part time and full time

((( basically I worked from August 2018 to Jan 2019 as part time and did 345 hours

and then from feb 2019 to December 2019 I worked as full time doing 1215 hours )))

so in total from August 2018 to end of December 2019 which is a 17 month period I did 1560 hours !

Is that valid ? Or do I need to do 1560 in one year or two year exactly ?

I’m confused and I thank all of the replies in advance !

How many hours did you work per week?

and then from feb 2019 to December 2019 I worked as full time doing 1215 hours )))

First, both full-time and part-time work experience count. IRCC has its own definition of full-time (30 or more hours worked per week) and part-time (fewer than 30 hours worked per week), regardless of whether your employer considers you full- or part-time. When you calculate your eligibility, you have to use IRCC´s definitions.

One year = 52 weeks, so you need 52 weeks of full-time work experience, or the full-time equivalent (FTE) in part-time work, or a combination of those.

For your full-time work (30 or more hours per week), you simply count the weeks worked (no need to count hours, as you cannot count more than 30 hours per week). You need the exact dates to count this.

For your part-time work experience, you add up the hours (maximum you can count in any given week is 30 hours) and divide by 30 - that will give you the FTE weeks.

If your FT and FTE weeks combined are 52 or more, then you qualify.

My part time hours from August 2018 to Jan 2019 is 12 weeks

while my full time hours from feb 2019 to dec 2019 is 40 weeks

total 52 weeks

so my question is I did 52 weeks of Work experience in a 17 month period instead of 1 year or 12 month. Is that valid ?

My part time hours from August 2018 to Jan 2019 is 12 weeks
Do you mean, your calculated FTE is 12 weeks?

while my full time hours from feb 2019 to dec 2019 is 40 weeks

total 52 weeks
Just barely made it!

so my question is I did 52 weeks of Work experience in a 17 month period instead of 1 year or 12 month. Is that valid ?

Yes, of course.
By definition, anytime someone has part-time work, it will take longer than one year to gain the required FTE of one year.

Yes my fte work for the part time work performed is 12 weeks and full time is 40 week by the end of December and total is 52 and i’m still continuing work so it’s adding on now it’s 53 weeks!

so just to clarify it is valid ? And it doesn’t have to be 12 month period exactly because it’s a combination work of pt and ft that I performed!!
Thank you !!
