Work Experience for Express Entry - Question

Hi guys, does anyone know if CIC counts your work exprerience by hours or days?

What I mean is that on the website they say that you need to have a minimum of 1560 hours of work experience which equals 12 month of full time work. But what if I worked overtime and have accumulated 1560 hours in 8 months.

Can I apply or do I have to wait four more months?

Overtime will not count. The rule for 1 year of work experience is:

30 hrs per week in 52 weeks (no exceptions to the rule)

>30 hrs per week is still deemed to be 30 hrs per week.

Thank you for your reply :)

One more question. I thought I've read somewhere that it has to be one year non-stop work or smth like that. But I don't see it anywhere now... If I have 9 more months of full time work from 2 years back in the same NOC can I use it? Or is it not good since it was't a full year.

Sorry but I'm just really confused about it

Assuming you submitted your EE profile after May 30, 2015, Canadian work experience need not be continuous. Quote from CIC is as follows:

" As of May 30, 2015, all valid Canadian work experience will be recognized under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) of Express Entry as CIC is removing the requirement that Canadian work experience be continuous. As a result, foreign nationals with Canadian work experience could see an increase in their CRS points."

And if experience is not Canadian?

I assume 'non-Canadian' work experience must be continuous'. Can't find anything to prove or disprove this assertion.

Disclaimer: this is my assumption only.

Thank you. Looks like it does have to be continuous :(
