Hi
Just wanted to know if the working experience in India adds up to certain points for getting the Permanent residency for Canada.
Like I have almost 7 years of continous experience and my age is 31
Whereas my wife is 28 but she has 3 years of experience and then she left the job now it's been almost 2 years since she is not working both of us are post graduates.
Please advise on who should be the primary member ?

The foreign work experience should be under one NOC code only and it must be either O, A or B. They will add some more points for you definitely but you will have to submit the letter of employment and employment records after you declare it. Regards to who should be the primary one, I suggest you use CRS tool and try both. Whoever scores higher should be the primary one - because it relates to English scores as well (which is matter a lot)

Hi
Just wanted to know if the working experience in India adds up to certain points for getting the Permanent residency for Canada.

First you need to understand that to be eligible, you need to meet 2 sets of requirements - the general express entry requirements, and the requirements for one of the programs, like the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Canadian Experience Class (CEC), or Federal Skilled Trades (FST) programs. Most likely, you are talking about the FSW program.

For EE requirements, you need a minimum of one year of continuous employment at one job in a skilled NOC. If you have met that requirement, it does not matter if you change employers or have different NOCs, you can add up the experience. You can count experience gained within the past 10 years, but for your CRS score, you max out after 3 years.

For the FSW program requirements, you need a score of 67 to be eligible. Here, you can use up to 6 years of experience to get points.

NOTE - for any experience you include in your profile for points, you will have to document it - get letters of reference etc. If you cannot document it, you will not retain any points for it, so there's no point in including it .

See the section, Proof of work experience, here:

Whichever one of you has the highest CRS score - you can use this calculator to estimate -
