Here's my story:

I recently graduated university, majoring in business. After some searching, I've landed a permanent job working for the BC Public Service. I'm working as a records assistant using a post graduate work permit. I'm trying to apply for the BC PNP but I'm not sure of my eligibility.

First of all, I'm not sure which category I should apply for, the Skilled Worker or International Graduates categories?

Also I have heard at work that I should wait until I have a year of full time employment. Is this true or is it enough to have a permanent full time job offer? I couldn't find such requirements on their website.

For my work experience, I have 8 months of coop, and about 4 months of full time work.

Thanks,
Yuma

You would apply as a international graduate. I was kind of in the same situation. Is your job related to your field of study???

Yes, I believe my work is related to my major. I was attempting to apply through sponsorship from work, but HR is not sure if I meet the work experience requirements. I didn't know there were work experience requirements, so was a little confused. Regarding applying as an International Graduate, I'm afraid of the GPA requirements. Depending on how the GPA is determined I might be comming close to the cuttoff.

Yes I believe your GPA plays a role in your application, If I was you I would look for "bc guy or Leon" advise, who are member of this forum. I had a good GPA so it was not a problem for me. I am not 100% sure but I believe that under the international graduate category work experience does not matter, this information is on the BC pnp website for sure.
