hello all

i have a quick question

i am trying to show one year work experience in a particular noc code. however this one year experience is divided as follows:

5 months in a different country from a different company in the year 2012

and 7 months in a different country from a different company in the year 2017.

will this be acceptable? if not why?

please advise

yes it is acceptable. just add them seaprately in profile under same NOC.

I couldn't find anything with having experience from different country on CIC
I guess you can show it as long as you have all required documents to prove this experience.

Is this the only experience you have? If you remove this your points will decrease ?

Your info is not sufficient to answer correctly.
do you have Canadian experience or do you have only 1 year experience in total?
or
Do you have good continuous full-time experience in one particular NOC code and trying to show above mentioned work experience in another NOC code?

lets say you have only experience which you mentioned above and no Canadian experience, then

I think - it is NOT acceptable.

You will fall under FSW, where it clearly mentioned to have "continuous full-time" work exp.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp

hope this helps.

anyone is free to correct me, if i am wrong.

Thanks

thanks all for your quick replies.

let me put out some details to make my situation clear.

i am trying to claim points from one particular noc code only. i have in total of 6.5 years of work experience in that particular code. all non Canadian.

Exp A. june 2008 to july 2012: worked as finance analyst in a global audit firm in uk.

Exp B. Aug 2012 to Jan 2013: worked as finance analyst for a company in Pakistan.

Exp C. July 2015 to Sep 2016: worked as finance analyst for another company in uk

Exp D. nov 2016 to present: working as management accountant for another company. the title of this role is management accountant but the job role and responsibilities are exactly the same as finance analyst in Exp A, B and C.

my problem is that i dont have any luck in getting roles and resp (which are must) on original hr letter from the companies for Exp A and C. i ONLY have complete required documents for Exp B and D

So i am trying to add Exp B and D to make it one year and with that my points are in the range of 440. this is the worst case scenario. i will submit everything i have for Exp A and C but without job duties and resp, i dont think i will be awarded points. the reason i am not getting these duties and resp on official hr letter is because it is against company's policy and all my colleagues have refused me as well for this reason.

please advise. thanks very much

You only have to show one year of experience before ITA (If you have all required documents for B and D)
Other experience can go in to personal history.
What will be score after One year of experience?

After 1 year experience the score is in the range of 440-450 however if i get the required documents for the other experience then the score jumps to the 470 range.

As you may have noticed that exp D which is forming an element of this 1 year experience has got a different job title. However the duties and responsibilities are exactly similar to experience B.

Can i still combine exp b and d despite the fact that they have different job titles but the duties and responsibilities are same.

please advise

thanks

But, FSW requirements says to show one year continuous full time work exp.

B and D combined work experience is one year, but NOT continuous.... will that not effect JACKCHITRA123 application??

according to me, JACKCHITRA123 is not meeting FSW eligibility requirements.

Sorry ! You are right. She can get eligible if she has all documents for A

In my opinion, try to get exp letter from A or C.
or
wait for D to complete 1 year to be on safe side.

As B and D have different job titles and different companies (I assume B and D are different companies), you need to have different experience letters.

Each letter from each company on their respective letter head.

thanks

i think that is the safe bet in the worst case scenario that i should allow exp d to complete 1 year and then apply because then it will be continuous one year.

i do have one last question. exp d title is management accountant however the roles and resp are exactly similar of finance analyst which comes under 1112 Financial and investment analysts.

is there a problem if i have different job title? because this job title, management accountant comes under 1111 Financial auditors and accountants on cic website but i am trying to claim points under 1112Financial and investment analysts.

please advise

i would really appreciate an answer to another question

is it a requirement for my work exp to exactly match the duties under the noc code on the cic website? what about the title?

You need to match duties. Tittle should be okay

JACKCHITRA123 said:
thanks

does it have to be 100% match? what if my job description is 60 to 80% match to the noc code?

Should be okay ! For example you cant match duties for mechanical engineer with civil

My job duties are 50%match but other 50% gives the same idea about my NOC
