Hi Guys,
I have a doubt, I have 10+ years work experience of Technical sales and I have degree in bacholer of commerce ( 3 year Integrated course). So my work experience doesn't mismatch with my education.

Kindly let me know.

Regards,

Perfectly fine.

Thanks for replying, but my convocation certificate says that I have passed bacholer of commerce with subjects of financial accounting & Auditing ( special ) and computer application ( vocational). Still is ?

Thanks :).

If u don't mind tell me what's ur application status.

Regards,

Your attorney is wrong (doesn't even surprise me anymore). Education and work experience do not have to be related.

If your case is not super complicated, I strongly suggest you apply by yourself, without using a lawyer as a representative.

My husband have Bachelors in science and 16 year experience as software engineer outside canada. Is he eligible to apply in EE? how many points for education and experience?

Studied B.sc Chemistry 9 Years ago have 4 certifications in networking and series of training in IT .I ve been a network administrator for more than 8 years now .

No, it doesn't matter. Your work experience and your education don't have to match.

Hi all,

@legalfalcon, kindly comment & educate on the issue of Work experience matching Education so that our friends with such concerns may be appropriately guided.

Any senior who has successfully received PR status and had work experience different from education can also kindly comment. Thank you.

they already said it a hundred times on a hundred separate threads. not to mention several people above confirmed it doesn't need to match except of course if you're practicing medicine or law without a degree. career changes are very common and rarely anyone ends up working in the field of their education.

PLzzzzz guide me .....

I have completed ITI (motor mechanic vehicle) in 2000
And during my job (as a car mechanic) completed diploma mechanical engineering (in distance learning) in 2009
But from last 5 years I joined my family business of retail electrical goods selling

- How many points, consider for that??
- my current last experience is totally different than my education....so is it eligible ???

Most likely, yes, but you would have to submit it for an educational credentials assessment (ECA) before you can even submit a profile.

Probably 7, but you need to get the ECA.

You can read about how many points you may be elgiible for here -

Already answered above in this thread.

- Retail salespersons (NOC 6421-C) can i get my experience score??
This NOC not considered "skilled" and is therefore not eligible for points. IRCC considers skilled occupations to be NOC levels O, A, or B (alas, not C).

Local agent said I must hv experience in mechanical field in last 10 yrs other wise i cant eligible

That is because your retail NOC is not eligible. If you had at least 1 year (hopefully up to 3 years) as a mechanic/technician within the past 10 years, that would count.
