Hi There,

I have worked 360 Hours in the last 3 years (part time ) Under NOC code 2175

and started working since Sept 2014 as full time under NOC code 2172 . I have accumulated total of 1260 hours so-far.

Can I combine both the Work Experience (though under different NOC Codes) to get 1560 hrs work to qualify for CEC ?

please let me know

Re: Work Experience @ CEC

Was your part time work on off campus/co-op permit?
IF yes, then it will not be counted.
Your skilled experience should be on pgwp, lmia based work permit, or NAFTA work permit.

Or open work permit. And you have to have worked 52 30-hour (or more hours) weeks in total. You can't use 40-hour work weeks to make the total hours, if you didn't do them over 52 weeks.

No - you can't. You must wait until you have worked 40 weeks full time. You have 12 weeks of part time work and need an additional 40. As others have said, no matter how many hours you work per week, each week still only counts as one full time week.

Thanks for the reply,

Counting by the weeks so far I have total of 12 hrs par-time work and 36 hrs full time work , so do I need to wait for an additional of 4 more weeks of full time ? to make it 52 weeks = 12+36+4

Re: Work Experience @ CEC

on weeks you worked 30 hrs or more, you count 30 hrs
on weeks you worked under 30 hrs, you count actual hour of the week.

Then add all the hours, see if its over 1560 hrs

Different NOCs and discontinuity should be able to accumulate in CEC-eligibility, but CRS point grid requires continuous work period.
