Hi guys, I have some questions regarding how work experience is calculated in Express Entry.

My Canadian work experience are: (All falls on NOC type B)
1. 15 Feb - 14 Jun 2018 (laid off and then got another job offer on late 2018)
2. 15 Oct 2018 - 11 Oct 2019

I will apply Express Entry once I could claim 2 years of work experience. But I am not sure when I can claim it.

So does the calculation based on how many hours accumulated or based on amount of working days?

I really hope someone could answer my question. Thank you so much in advanced :)

To have 2 years of work experience, you will need to work from 15 Oct 2018 - 15 June 2020. That's 20 months. Add to that the four months you have from Feb - Jun 2018. So in July 2020, you can apply with 2 years of work experience.

Thank you for the reply 21Goose! So it's not based on 1560 hour/year calculation then? I see
Because if the calculation based on hours instead of the amount of month, then my four months Feb-Jun 2018 work experience will be 94 days --> 94 working days = 18.8 weeks --> 18.8 multiply by 44 = 827 hour. I worked 44 hours/week (Ontario thing). So, 1560 hours - 827 hours = 733 hours needed.

In other word,if my calculation is right. I only need to work 18 weeks more
