Good day all.

Please can I claim work experience before graduation?
This is the scenario below. I am a Pharmacist(a regulated profession), so after my final exams, I started working in a Community Pharmacy and my duties were same as a licensed/graduated pharmacist but it was still under the supervision of the superintendent pharmacist. I worked there for about 10months before I was inducted and given my school certificate, this delay was as a result of administrative procedures from my school. I understand that IRCC allows for work experience as a student as long as it is continuous, paid and meets other requirements. I also know that according to IRCC, one of the minimum requirements to practice in NOC 3131-Pharmacist is a Bachelor Degree and license.

So my question is can I claim the work experience before my graduation?
What can one advice me to do?

In what country did you study and do this work?

"I understand that IRCC allows for work experience as a student as long as it is continuous, paid and meets other requirements."
That statement is a complete mishmash of wrong ideas.

Sorry, to clarify, the section you are quoting refers to work experience in order to meet the minimum requirements for FSW, which is a separate question from whether the experience counts.

Please this explanation is confusing me, kindly through more light on it.
Thank you

The section you quoted is about foreign work experience, while a student, that is you used to meet the minimum entry criteria for Federal Skilled Worker. That is why the work must be full-time, continuous for at least 12 months, and in a single NOC. Those are the criteria for FSW wherever the work was performed and whether you were a student or not.
If the work experience is not being used to meet the minimum entry criteria it does not have to be full-time, continuous, etc., but will still count as a year of work experience if a minimum of 1560 hours was worked

I understand all these.
My question is "does it also apply to professions like Pharmacy that requires a license to practice just like it was stated in the NOC minimum requirement to practice?"
