Work experience and IELTS !

Hi,
I have finished two years diploma in Business may 2011 then started work in restaurant as a chef position. I have beed working full time about 15 months. I just received my Ielts score which is below:
Listening 6
Reading 5.5
Writing 5.5
Speaking 5.5

My questions are 1) I have studied Business but work in chef is that acceptable ?
2) if it's ok my IELTS score is good enough or not?
please help me if anybody know about this situation.

As for the IELTS score, make sure it's in compliance with the NOC code applicable to a chef.

1- Your job does not have to relate to your studies.

2- Chef is under Skilled Level B and your IELTS scores are good enough!

Listening 6.0 = CLB 7
Reading 5.5 = CLB 6
Writing 5.5 = CLB 6
Speaking 5.5 = CLB 6

To qualify under Skilled Level B, you need to have a CLB 5 for all four categories.

It doesn't matter. Education in Canada is not a required under CEC.
You don't even need to submit education documents anymore.
Anyone with one year of skilled work experience can apply.

like everyone says job doesnt has to be related to education and i havent seen anything it says it needs to be in our field of study as long as it falls under NOC 0 ,A or B. so keep in touch. r u in GTA??? check ur inbox i send u msg.
