Hello friends
I am creating a profile now and need your advise on work exp.
I am expecting under cec category since I have Canadian work experience. I only have the detailed duties letter from my Canadian employer and thus I was planning to put just the Canadian experience in my profile.
Also will fill the POF as 0$
Am I doing the right thing

Thanks

Sounds good.

Unless you have 3 years of canadian experience i would still try to get employment letters for your foreign experience as you might be able to add more crs points that way.

Whats your current crs score?

Assuming you have work permit and LMIA in hand, so if you want to eligible only under CEC category, I would suggest mention only Canadian work experience in work history section but all foreign work experience mentions in personal history section instead, the reason is that you don't need to provide any foreign reference letter only Canadian employment letter is required. Keep in mind, you won't get any point from foreign work experience.

In order words, you must mention every activities since the past 10 years in personal history section.

Thanks guys
I have Canadian experience from Jan 2013 till may 2014 after which I moved to USA. I only have the Canadian employer detailed experience letter and have no letters from my other employers. The crs tool is giving me the score of 472.

Oh so now I get what you are saying when you say 3 years experience. My score is coming down if I just show my 1 year of Canadian experience. But if I show my other experience the points are increasing drastically.
But I don't have detailed employer experience letters for the non Canadian experience. Can I still go ahead and show my non Canadian experience without my detailed experience letters since I am expecting cec and as far as I know for cec they require detailed experience letters only for the Canadian experience

Please let me know your thoughts
Thanks

You don't need to have three years of experience, just at least 12 months of full-time (or an equal amount in part-time) skilled work experience in Canada in the three years before you apply.

You need proof of work for all the experience you declare that gives you points.
For example, I declared 2 employments within Canada totalling 1 year, and 1 foreign experience of several years. I only declared the work I knew I could prove (some were simply impossible). Still I had to put all my foreign work experience in the 10 year history.

You DO need to prove foreign work experience if you declare it as experience (not history). So you'll need reference letters for those too.
And I'm guessing your 472 score included those years. Try to get the letters. Make it easy for them by providing a draft and clear instructions.

For CEC, you only require 1 yr Canadian experience, true. But Foreign experience is very valuable. It gives you a lot of points.

Thats right. But without the foreign experience the points are coming down. And I believe I need the detailed experience letters to prove my foreign experience

If not so hard to get those references letter, you should try to get it, whereas if it is difficult to obtain those kind of letter then no need, just ensure your CRS still stand at 472 scores without calming points from foreign experience.

Without foreign experience the points are 422.

Yeah, thats what i meant. If you can only claim 1 year of canadian experience but you also have two more years of fireign exoerience you could pitentially add to that, you will have a lot more points in the end. So even if it might be some extra work to get the other employment letters, i think you should try your best as it could be the difference between having enough points fir ITA or not.
