Hello,

I applied for PR under CEC yesterday without help from a lawyer. I am having second thoughts about my total experience now andwould like help from a senior member or anyone who can shed more light.
My Exp:

Part-time
30th April 2012-24th March 2013: 620 hours in total of avg :12.5 hours per week. NOC 6314
18th May 2012-Ongoing- 615 hours until Oct 6th: Avg 12.5 hours per week: NOC 2282
Total : 630+615=1245 hours

Full time
25th March 2013-Ongoing: 1280 hours in total, avg 40 hours per week:NOC 2281

Acc to CIC:

To be a member of the CEC, the applicant must also:
 have acquired, in Canada, within the 36 months before the date on which their application is received, at least 12 months of full-time work experience, or the equivalent in part-time work experience, in one or more occupations listed in Skill Type 0 or Skill Level A or B of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) matrix, exclusive of restricted occupations (see Section 9.11 for more details); and

Pursuant to R73(1), “full-time work” means at least 30 hours of work over a period of one week, and pursuant to R73(2) “work” means an activity for which wages are paid or commission is earned.
The full-time work experience requirement for applicants in the CEC may be met by the equivalent in part-time, paid work experience (e.g. more than one part-time job held simultaneously or one or more part-time jobs held over the equivalent of at least one year of full-time work).
Work experience can be calculated by adding up the number of weeks of full-time (or equivalent) paid work (i.e. 30 hours per week in one job, or a total of at least 30 hours per week in more than one job) in one or more skilled occupations at Skill Type 0 (Managerial occupations), Skill Level A (Professional occupations) or B (Technical occupations and skilled trades) of the NOC. Work experience must be acquired over a period of at least one year; work in excess of 30 hours per week over a shorter period cannot compensate for any shorter overall period of experience.

-->Do you guys think I am applicable under CEC terms above?? If not I would like to get my application returned and file again on March 25 2014 to be on the safe side rather than getting rejected after a year. If yes, how should I revoke my application and get it returned and also get the refund for $550?

It might be my nerves but I can't sleep now so this post at 6 am in the morning.

Help is immensely appreciated.

Hello,

Do you have a link that i can take a look at on the CIC website, regarding this part-time min of 15 hours?

Thanks.

I found :

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op25-eng.pdf

6.4 : Page 9

Which says :

For the Canadian Experience Class full, Full time equivalence, or 1,950 hours of paid employment over a period at least of 12 months will also be considered

-----------Please let me know if i am wrong.

here it says how working hrs can be counted....

*“Full-time work” means at least 30 hours of work over a period of one week, or an equal amount in part-time, paid work experience. For example:

if you worked 15 hours per week in one job over four years, or
if you worked a total of 30 combined hours per week in more than one job over two years.
**Up to two employers can commit to employing you for at least one year of continuous full-time work, meaning at least 30 hours of work over a period of one week.
