Work Ex Reference letters

Hello!

How critical is it to get a reference letter from all employers? In my case, my 6+ years of exp is with the current employer and i am unable to get a letter on official company letter head from the HR or supervisor. However, i have manager to secure a statutory declaration (notarized) from one of my ex-supervisor at the same company.

My remaining 2.10 yrs of work ex is split between 2 other firms & none of them are willing to issue a letter? Here as well., i can manage to get notarized letters from my ex colleagues who were senior to me?

I am really puzzled & scared. At the most, what i can secure is promotion letters (they come with designation, not roles, but we need roles matching NOC code!), offer letters, pay stubs, tax docs.

Please suggest what more could i do!

Just to add, all the statutory letters have required details such as roles & responsibilities, tenure of work, hrs worked/week, salary, manager signature & notarized.

Work Experience letters are very important from CIC point of view. But you should know that CIC recognizes only upto 3 years experience for calculating CRS scores. So even if you have more than 3 years experience it is only considered as 3 yrs. So maybe you can remove some employers and apply ?

If you cannot get letters from employers, prove to CIC that you have atleast tried. Provide emails from the employer that they cannot give you the specified letter. Then you can give the testimonials of your colleagues along with it. Don't you have relieving letters from old employers ? You shall provide them also along with the application.

Company B - 0.10 yrs
Company C (present) - 6.5 yrs

& i tried but i am unable to get letter from current employer which is where majority of my workex lies. I cant tell them about this or i would be risking my current job. I tried to get it by other means but it did not work out. However, what i can still provide is confirmation letter, all promotion letters, salary slips, latest salary hike letter. Additionally, i can also provide testimonials (reference letters from senior colleagues/ex-supervisors).

For my previous companies, i can provide offer letter, salary slips & relieving letters.

Email proof from employers can be given, but again not from my current company, it would be from my ex-employers.

Will all of this work??

It depends a lot on the VO. But obviously if you cannot show the employment letter in the proper format, they will expect some proof that you atleast tried. In your case, since you cannot provide an email rejection letter from HR I would strongly suggest you to include a business card of the supervisor along with his testimonial to prove that he is indeed an employee there. And provide all other proofs. If I were the VO, I would approve for such an application. I think you should make it. Good luck
