Hey there,

since the possibility of actually immigrating to Canada are greater and greater I begin to ask myself some questions.

From the moment I get there through Express Entry, will I have all the required documentation to get hired.
Won't I have to get some other document before I can start working?

Heard some things and decided to ask.

Thank you

You will have the legal status to work. However, when you land, one of the first things you should do is obtain a Social Insurance Number (SIN). Once you have that, start your job search - employers need it for tax purposes. Depending on your entry port you may get it the day you land e.g if your landing through Toronto, there is a desk for this purpose.

I'm not sure what you heard, but if it says you need any specific documents from the Canadian govt, it's most likely inaccurate. The only documents that may be handy are reference letters from previous employers and an education assessment, which is required by very few employers like the Alberta gov't.

All the best.

Hi Lion,

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada is now funding different agencies throughout Canada to provide settlement and employment services virtually for newcomers overseas who have been approved for Canadian permanent residency and preparing to arrive in Canada.

Can you been approved for Canadian permanent residency. If yes, are you planning to land in Canada soon?

That's nice to know. Will check that out.

I have sent the all the documents to the CIC now, after having been given an ITA.

Now, I know that it's not there yet, but I have high hopes. Not that rich to get there and start getting a sun tan on a beach. And the rent is quite appalling. So need to make sure.
