Work after graduation chances

Hi there,
I am about to finish school and getting ready to apply for pgwp once I get all the paper work in place. I have a question, although it specifies that you should have continuously studied in your program, there was a time I was wait listed while waiting for my program to start, no really sure if it counts as an allowed break, but there was an incident at school that prevented me from taking on courses the next semester. I am fairly certain the incident counts as scheduled break. So 2 part time semesters, both documented. My question here, should I even try to apply for pgwp or just home for a bit and go for higher level studies and apply pgwp after completing the graduate program. I am just trying to consider my options ahead of time. I'll probably have to get a strong letter of explanation with evidence if I have chances. PS. didn't work in those 2 semesters and I have been full time ever since.
TL;DR 2 authorized leaves that happened B2B due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances, what are my chances and other options.
Thanks,
BK

It would be that school went on strike and made it impossible to register. It was just the combination of both, but I'm not sure if I hold any chances. I would most definitely seek the help from an immigration lawyer, but if the chances are low, might as well move on and do graduate studies in my own field.

The strike would certainly be a good reason. Not quite sure how difficulty registering would lead to part-time studies.

Because I completed all the required courses available at the time to apply for the program. I would have needed special permission from the professors teaching the courses to register for any further courses, and because of the strike, that didn't happen. Its a compounding effect, I wasn't part time by choice. I did the best I could to get in classes. So in your opinion, would I have any chance to get the pgwp granted?

Better than most part-time students and you should definitely apply. I do think there will be some understanding but I can’t guarantee what will happen. Just explain as best as possible. If you have proof that in subsequent years you were full-time and did well that should help and I would highlight the fact that the irregularities were only due to the strike.

Thanks, I'll get the help of an immigration lawyer to write a letter of explanation. My transcript shows that I was full time after those event and completed the program in an accelerated way, i.e. taking as much courses as possible to finish the program and no breaks, even did some summer courses.

I just met with an RCIC agent and I was told that I don't need to even have a letter of explanation and IRCC is lenient towards degree holders, I'm not sure that's even the right advise, not sure how this sounds but should I even trust of this person? I checked and they are in good standard on ICCRC website. Now, I also heard that RCIC is showing more leniency in the COVID 19 for application. I'm having a mixed feeling about this. Should I start looking elsewhere?

Don’t believe you were given good advice. Would not use that consultant. Either go with a lawyer or write it yourself. You could also write a draft and consult a lawyer about your letter if you are trying to lower the cost. There is no leniency just for degree holders. You certainly need to include a letter of explanation and also include any proof like emails to professors/administrators proving all the steps you took to try and register for your course. No proof necessary that there was a strike but you should certainly indicare why the strike lead you to be part-time.

Thanks for your advise, I will most certainly try to find a lawyer in the area, I'm not sure if the 6 month ban applies because of the study permit violation as it's been a while now. I'd make due diligence and contacted some lawyers after meeting with the RCIC agent, I'm waiting on their answers. Now, I just need to know that there are no other violations, or else, I'll probably be looking at going back and completing more studies. It's a pain but what can I do.

Not sure what you are talking about when you say the 6 month ban. The issue is mostly about having to be part-time because you couldn’t get approval to register for courses and this being related to the strike.

It's something like this described in the article below:
http://vancouverimmigrationblog.com/ircc-clarifies-actively-pursuing-studies-requirement-january-2019-update/
I know I probably need a lawyer to explain my case, both qualifies as authorized leaves from cic website but they happened B2B which is unfortunate, the violation has been years ago (if it counts as one). Now I'm hoping that I didn't do anything else wrong that could complicate things further.
As far as I know, if I can provide a letter of explanation and proof, I should be good and if there are any instance of unauthorized study/work it is well past the 6 months. Luckily I started digging into the matter before I finishing school and I can prepare for it.
However, due to covid 19, I'm not sure how long it will take to apply and how long will school provide graduation documentation and other documentation. At worse, I'll also look for other alternatives. i.e. additional schooling if I have to restore as a student, my SP is still valid for another year.
Also, if I am granted PGWP, then its all good but if its refused and I have to restore as a student, I'm not sure if it could potentially affect PNP/PR application later on. I'm also looking into applying GCMS notes but I do not have any active applications, just looking out for any potential areas of concerns.
I'll disclose everything and be as sincere as I can in the LOE and ask for forgiveness if it helps. I just got to be sure which documents counts as having completed my studies, late day of exams, letter of completion, final grades (transcript), as much as I aware, the one that is required and comes first is where the 90 days rule before your SP automatically expires.
I apologize for the wall of text and I appreciate the help you've given so far.
Regards,
BK
