Hello.
I did ask before about the possibility of taking X ray for pregnant women, however, my doctor advised me against it.
I am the main applicant and would like to know what happens in case a medical test is done and sent to Ottawa without taking chest X ray till after delivering the baby. Does my application get pending, or do I still get a decision or what happens in this case? Has anyone been in a similar position?

Your application would be considered incomplete and would not be processed further until you had the xray meaning most likely your medical would expire and have to be redone. You will have to amend you application, add the child, pay the fee, complete the child's application, get a passport, and then wait for the child's medical instructions.

My wife was due in November 2008 and CIC requested for medicals in October 2008. We waited for the delivery and got my baby's passport and birth certifcate and sent the application for the baby. We received the medical documents for the infant in january 2009 and we did our medicals. Its mandatory to do the X-ray and all tests requested in the medial test form requested from CIC. Otherwise it is incomplete.

You can request CIC that you are due and cannot do the medical util delivery is done. They will accept it and request you to sent the new born's application also as soon as the passport and birth certifcate is ready.
