Dears,
For my question,I hope I can get responed from an expert person who can advise me to the right way .
I came to Canada as an international student have a study permit.
Two months later ,I applied for refugee because of bad conditions that I afraid I can't go back home. My status has changed from student to a Refugee person and I signed a departure order in case I failed to prove my case or withdrew my claim.
I was waiting for my hearing day ,but now I want to withdrow my claim before the hearing day.
I don't know if I have to leave Canada in case of I withdrew my claim?or I can do that and stay in Canada as I was before my applying.
Actually I want to finish my study and go back home because the conditions which I applied as a Refugee claim for are released now.
Thank you

If you withdraw your refugee claim, you departure notice then becomes effective.

I'm a refugee who applied for Permanent Residence on July 2008,

Decision has been made in Alberta and they sent me a letter explaining that the local Office will contact me.

I called the call center and they told me the process could extends up 36 month. Does anybody have any clue about this time line?

Thanks in advance

Dears,
I have met an immigration officer and asked him to help me to withdraw my refugee claim, even though the conditions which I applied my claim for are still bad. I'm freaking out of failing to present my case due to leak of evidences.
My question is ,do you think what I did might effect my hearing day since I'm waiting my hearing day??

Please any advice?

I have granted a refugee protection in Canada on March.09 . I'm wondering whether the immigration people might contact my original country's embassy here in Canada to let them know about my status or about anything else??and when? or they won't contact them ever??
Please I need an expert person to answer my question.

Many thanks

Labron:

Once you have granted as a refugee, Canada doesn't contact your Embassy at all. You are a protected person. You have left your home country for a reason, so it would be contradictory provide info about your status to that people. Make sense?

On the other hand. Welcome. Hurry and apply for your permanent residency and work hard.

Congrats!!!

The immigrant.
Your case will depend on the skills of your lawyer and also, if you have a really and sustentable case.

I suffered prosecution for may political believes. Venezuela is now a volcano about to explode., but before living they tried several times kill me.

Thanks androcles,
What do you mean by "it depends on the skills of your lawyer". what do you think I should ask him to make my hearing day faster?

Please I need Help !!!!!!!!!!

If a refuge was rejected his case the first time and then the refuge decided to go back to his countery even though the person made an appeale but didn't want to wait for the second hearing which is after the appeal?

If I asked the Immigration to go back to my countery as voluntery departure or any other way I can go back to my original country , Does the Immigration give the refuge his pasport easily and allow the person to go back to his country easily?

I don't really know????

Because some people say that , If you ask the government that you want to go back and tell them that you don't have a problem , They will send a secuirty officer with you until the refuge reaches his countery then they will give you the pasport?

Because I beleive that the same thing happened to a guy which was my brother's friend they sent a secuirty officer with him but that was like long time a go!!!!

if you wanna go back to your country and you are a refugee then you must withdraw your case first, when i withdraw i sent a letter to immigration board, then they sent me the confirmation of withdrawal and sent me withmy tiket copy attach to other office where i signed and finally withdrwa, the day i came back home, it was requeried to be early morning in the airport, with immigration office inside airport, i did some more things there and then i just wait to leave an officer came to me when was time to go into the plane and he took me or went with me untill i was inside, he delivered my envelop with documents to an authority of my country and then when i arrived to my country officers delivered me the documents...

I think I am in your type of situation. my study permit is still valid. if I want to withdraw my claim, can I stay on the bases of my study permit? or will I be removed from Canada?
