Asking on a friends behalf.

Can anyone explain what happens if you withdraw your application?
Sponsor was already approved and they started reviewing her husbands application and requested medical.

Will they send your paperwork back, or do you have to start from scratch? And is there a certain amount of time you would have to wait before applying again?

Thank you in advance!

Why would you withdraw the application? If you made a mistake you can notify IRCC but if you withdraw the application they keep everything. I’m not sure if there’s a certain time you have to wait before reapplying

In general, no, they will not send the application back.

If sponsor was already approved, the only fee they would be refunded is the $490 RPRF.

They can apply any time after withdrawing, no need to wait, but I'm not sure why they would apply immediately after withdrawing. Are they switching from inland to outland?

A bit of complications that I am not at liberty to share, but I just wanted to get some answers for her in case she needs to know. :)

Thank you very much for your replies!

I and my husband are also thinking to withdraw our spousal sponsorship application. We just found out we missed two address histories and wrote explanations for other questions too ambiguously.

Our application has sent on Nov 13 and delivered on Nov 18. What we are worried about is if they will think we intentionally dropped that address histories when we submitted new application.
