My friend withdrew his file after receiving an AOR from Sydney office...he just submitted the application forms, however didnt send his full documents to the London UK office...

Will this withdraw affect his future application as he was not able to get the employment letter from his employer?

No, you may withdraw your application any time you wish and you may reapply again whenever you wish, you just have to make it clear that you had applied once before and why you withdrew application. No problem with withdrawl but they will compare your new application with the previous one. Also you must make withdrawal before the application is processed or you will lose your application fees.
