Hello,

If I cancel the citizenship application , does it effect on renewal of PR card in the future ?
I've applied for the citizenship with my son's minor application together two years before and no test date so far. My son is over 18 now and he wants to do later at his discretion.

PR card will be issued if you meet the Residence Obligation. Why don't you write to CIC and ask your son to be removed instead of withdrawing stating that he is over 18. It may be best for you to advise him to leave the application as is with his name on it..criteria for citizenship may have changed by the time he is ready or there may be other issues to contend with e.g. failing to meet the residency obligation

Why to withdraw? Have this application completed and there 's no extra hassle in future.
