Withdraw spouse sponsorship application !!!!!!!

Hello everyone,

I came to Canada in 2013 as a international student, and got married in 2014. I graduated in 2015, and got a job related to my program (NOC type B: Technician). I applied for spouse sponsorship in 2014 (my wife is a permanent resident). I just got a letter from CIC, they said my application was transferred to Etobicoke for further assessment. Many people said it will take more than 6 months for CIC schedule for the interview, and I have a big chance to get rejection. Should I withdraw spouse sponsorship application now, and then apply for Canadian experience class? My company will give me a job offer that ensure I will get invitation to apply for PR, I am holding post graduation work permit and it will expire next year. Will I have any problem with CIC if I withdraw sponsorship application, and will I get deported if I failed on the interview?

Thank you very much!!!

It does take a long time for the interview to be scheduled, but you would not fail it. If this is a true marriage then you will be able to answer every question they ask. If they have any doubts about your relationship they will give you a chance to submit additional documents and proof of relationship. Why do you think you will fail the interview?
On another note, I hope you know that getting an LMIA based job offer is also a lengthy process. The company has to prove that they couldn't find a Canadian employee that would be equally skilled as you are. So unless your job is extremely specialized, the chances of getting an LMIA are slim.

Hello, can I apply Canadian experience class while waiting for spouse sponsorship application? Will the result of one application affects the other?

Thank you.

You can apply for both at the same time.

How many points do you have under Express Entry? So far no one with less than 450 points has been selected.

Thanks for your reply,
I did not apply for CEC yet, but I believe with the valid job offer, I will have about 600 points. Will this application be rejected if spouse sponsorship application get rejected?

You need an approved LMIA in addition to a permanent job offer to get the additional 600 points. Do you have an approved LMIA?

The applications will be processed independently.

I talked to my boss about LMIA, and he said he will help me to get it.
That's good. Be aware that this process can easily take 4-6 months to complete. Your boss should start the advertising component as soon as possible.
