they will take 30 days to get back to u... but once u have sent email u are all good... u can also call their call center to confirm

dear taneja
u will receive refund from cic only if they have not started processing your application.
once the processing of applicatiom starts then no refund.
u got verification call, so i believe your application processing has started.
check your ecas status.
refer site www.cic.gc.ca

I got verification call on 2nd of August 12 and when I check status it shows in progress with comments we have received you application on Nov 2011. Now can i withdraw application?
Thanks to all for replying. Please suggest

In addition to above that was last updated on 16th June 12. I have applied from new Delhi India.do I also need to mail Sydney email in order to withdraw.

Dear Ojasteneda,I want to offer my little advice.Since ytou are already in process,I don't think you are qualified for a refund.
Based on your reason for the withdrawal which is (family matters),I believe that situation is a stranger which just invaded your plans and it will eventually get off you by God's grace.
Could you perhaps allow your application to continue hoping that your present circumstances now might or will change for good, thereby making your dreams to be a canadian come to past.
Since you have come this far,I believe you will be happy in future knowing that you made the best choice!!
Good luck

Yes u r true but unfortunately I have mail, email and fax the withdrawal letter to them because my personal problems are longer that I cannot tell but still I need advice of I have done all three then will my process gets faster or not ? Or there will any other impact on application because I have fax , mail and and email them? Please anyone help me

I have done because my agent told me you will get refund.
