there is xenophobia in south africa and as a foreigner living here for the past 9 years how can i emigrate to canada i fear for my life . if you follow mainstream news the situation is very bad and the government is not saying anything except for ministers who are fuelling the situation due to speculation and hate speech aimed at foreigners.

Agree with canuck78.

Also, you mentioned you are a foreigner in South Africa. What is your home country? Why not move back?

Look into the Express Entry economic immigration program:

The only realistic option for coming to Canada is to apply for PR through an economic immigration program like Express Entry based on your level of education, work experience, language abilities, age and other factors. See the link I provided above to determine if you may qualify. There are other economic immigration options as well (Provincial Nominee Programs).

Applying for refugee status isn't going to be feasible since you are already resettled outside of your home country and a TRV to Canada will not be approved.

Note that it's a points-based program and you currently need around 460 points to be selected.
