There is no special thing which can be shown to prove HOME TIES.
I have got my visa for Sept 2013 intake under university category and what i learned from my experience is stated below:-

a) Property papers.
b) Strong SOP which states your plans after your course( try and put something like job opportunities in INDIA wrt this course, family etc)\
c) Your travel history can show that you have not stayed ion any country for longer period and have good home ties.

These points can surely help you to show home ties. but as i said there is no concrete funda for this so its all luck
