hello bro,

What is the reason for the rejection that they had given to you ....?Have u checked ur account number and other wire transfer details like swift code etc....?

Who told you it's been rejected? Scotia or your bank at home?

By scortiabank due to insufficient information...
Switch code and everything else is correct but the remittance info they should add my name also but they dint only account number thats why its rejected... Can bank modify that info or my hope for sept intakes are useless...

Bro......its clearly written in GIC application guide that one has to mention the beneficiary name and account no...without that amount cannot get remit into applicant account.....The mistake has been done from Bank side..so just ask ur bank to again send the wire transfer receipt to scotiabank with the required modifications......so that they will came to know that the funds are provided by you only ....and then they will remit that same amount in ur gic account....

I already sent my wire transfer report to president of international banking division of scotiabank thats why they replied with investigation report that my wire transfer is rejected.
My question is can bank correct the info and send it again in one day .

Yes ur bank can correct it just ask them to send the required details again which they haven't mentioned earlier....and also ask the bank manager to send the modified details to the bank on their behalf.......it will take around 3 to 4 days depending on ur bank.....

Your bank cant correct the information.

International Wire Transfer laws are quite simple. Once a transfer is rejected, it has to be sent back to the originating account. You are not allowed to send modifications. These laws exist to prevent terrorists and money launderers from abusing the system.

Your Bank can only request a trace to find out where the money is but you already know that it's with Scotia in the rejection pile so there's no use asking for that.

It will now take two weeks or a littlle more for it to return to your account. After that, you can send it again.

If its in scotiabank... Then why they are not accepting it ... They knew that its my money bcoz of other details... Then whats the problem...

They want name to be mentioned as well to avoid any risk. Tomorrow if there's any mistake then someone will sue them. That's how it works there.

Unfortunate for you but nothing can be done. You just have to wait till money returns to your account.

I suggest that you defer your course to January.

Hello Friends,

My wire transfer is rejected due to name differ, Now i want to know how many days does it takes to receive my funds back in my account in india.,

Regards,
AJ

Help please my address in passport is different because I have changed my home and I have paid gic with the current address so there are chances that it can be rejected by Nova Scotia bank

If I have paid my gic with exchange rate of 52.220 and if reaches Nova Scotia with the rate of 54 so there are chances of rejection
