Q. I've a pressing question & need a fair opinion.

The current study permit processing time outside of Canada is 13 weeks. But my application is under SDS category. Does this mean the processing time for SDS or Non-SDS?

Secondly, keeping in view the timeline, when do you think I might get PPR or rejection as the case may be!

Your help in this query will be highly regarded.

Processing times under SDS have not been followed since before Covid so expect 13 weeks (end of January). If before then, you are lucky. Application has not even started eligibility review.

Luckily SDS category has worked for certain pakistani applicants. However, due to huge backlog currently they are having the same fate of 13 weeks processing time. Besides that Abu Dhabi VO is also slow. So like another member mentioned somewhere in January and if lucky maybe within a month.

my friend applied on 21st sep and is still waiting, its totally random so cant say anything for sure

Sharing my husband's timeline:

Application submitted on Oct 2
Biometrics updated Oct 6
No medical required
Application approved on Oct 18
Total time: 16 days.

Non-SDS file. Applied from Israel. Application was processed in Edmonton, Canada.

Program: PhD at McGill University. Starting Jan 2023.
 
My visa got approved and I got my passport stamped. but on the IRCC portal there shows two counterfoil documents. One document number is valid and one is invalid. The valid counterfoil document number is stamped on my passport but the invalid counterfoil document number is above the valid document number in the list on the IRCC portal. I received 2 POE (letters of introduction) dated 10th November 2022 and 11th November 2022. There is a lot of confusion I am not sure which one is valid and which is not.

My medicals and passport are valid

Any help would be really appreciated
 
I got BVL (Correspondence letter) on Nov 25th 2:30 PM ET (Friday). But there has been no decision in the GC key. Usually I've seen people receiving both BVL and decision on either the same or next day. Can anyone please tell me what's happening and what I should expect? Thanks in advance
 
Applied on Oct 13. Submitted everything up front, medical and biometrics. No update since then, Kinda worried. Processing office is in South Africa, Pretoria
