Winnipeg IRCC - PR card processing

Hello,

Anyone else also waiting for the PR cards from the Winnipeg office? So far my timeline is :

- COPR - October 8th, 2020
- COPR letter + photos mailed - October 13th, 2020
- Package received - October 15th, 2020(delivery confirmation from Canada Post)

I also did the following:

1. Linked the PR card applications on my IRCC account, its current status is submitted
2. Mailed IRCC Winnipeg - the answer is they're closed due to COVID
3. Submitted a webform to IRCC asking for updates - no answer so far

Let's share any updates please and help ourselves!

Hi there, i want to know is there any information about IRCC office winnipeg processing time? I applied my PR file in October 2018. It got transferred to local office and it is been 28 months already.
I submitted all kind of enquiries, webforms but no reply.

Does anybody know about this situation or anybody is in the same situation? Please let me know.

Same boat here, this is the last answer I have from them :

Due to COVID 19, the Winnipeg IRCC office is currently closed due to Code Red in Manitoba until further noticed. We will process the Permanent Resident card photos once staff are allowed to return into the office. As stated on your approval letter, you can expect delays in the processing of your card. However, please note the letter you received is an official document that allow you to get your SIN and Provincial Health Card.

Thank you very much for your understanding as we navigate through these challenging times.

I'm waiting since October 15th,2020, and counting. I hope they open the office soon or find an alternative to continue processing our requests.

Hello Sharma,

I finally received my PR cards about a few weeks ago. From the letter address it seems they're producing it in Halifax, but I don't have much more info on the logistics.

One thing I did was to link both applications on IRCC website and email them frequently to get status updates, somehow it worked in terms of not getting my application out of sight.

I hope I was able to provide you with some help, never give up ! Time will come for everyone.

Hello pradeepadm2017,

As far as I remember it took something between one or two weeks max after the change of status on the linked PR application in the IRCC portal("status completed/approved ,we mailed the cards to you"), and this was in the winter season during the pandemic.

Email the address you see on the CoPR. They respond in a couple of days.

Well, I am really pissed off!

I had to wait 1 year for a reply after sending the photos and then CIC asked me to send the photos again! (WTF?)
