In my Loa before it says that the original loa must be attached as a page cover. In the checklist it says a copy of loa. So I scanned and photocopy my loa. made the original as my page cover and included the photocopy according to the checklist. Follow all the instructions and review your documents prior to submission.

Thank god we finished the medicals for only 2hrs.. we started at exactly 8am then finished around 10am. Iwe had avery relaxing experience. All the personnel are kind,courteous and vrry accomodating. We didnot have any problems on the results either. Although, we need to wait for the xray result in the coming days. If there is no calls within 2-3weeks from st. Lukes then it means our medical result is already forwarded.... thanks lalabaul, banofee.ohanne for the recommendations,.

i have not called St Lukes yet because of weekend and the holiday. i might call them and ask if they already submitted my medical results. Medicals received is a case to case basis. some have received the info thru ecas, some have called the hospital,but the bottomline here is the PPR.

also, i have taken my medicals last oct23, it is barely 2 working days after my medical so im not expecting any changes within this week.

we are expecting that the passport request will be sent for more than a month leadtime.


although take note that I heard that there are some medical results that were delayed submitted for more than 3 weeks only to find out that there is a need to to re-take the xray test again. but most of the time, if there are no calls within 2-3 weeks then you can expect for the PPR just after a month of doing the medicals.

hi ammie,

you should be expecting a call to your sponsor (or both of you) for an interview early this november. under Family stream some are getting the LOA as early as 4 months, but other go as long as 6 months.

if i were you, i will be preparing some answer to the questions that might be asked during your interview.

for general stream it takes longer.


see possible questions that may be asked during the interview..

here are the most frequently asked questions, better practice with your answer using these questions.

by the way, im applying to Manitoba ..

A. How and when did you meet each other? What is the real name of the applicant/sponsor? (nicknames too)

B. How long did you know each other or what is your relationship with your sponsor?

C. When was the last time you talked to your Sponsor/ Applicant or have a communication with them?

D. When was the last time you saw your Sponsor/ Applicant?

E. Is your sponsors related to each other? What can you say about your sponsor A? Sponsor B?

F. What is his/her current work, current position? Current addresses?

G. How about their family composition regarding the sponsor/applicant, civil status?

H. What is the name of their parents

I. Are you sure you will not transfer to other province once given a Letter of Approval?

J. Are you aware of the consequences to you and your Sponsors once you leave or didn't settle at all in Manitoba?

K. Is your sponsor willing to help you in your settlement plan to Manitoba?

L. What are the possible things that your sponsor can offer or help you when you arrive?

M. What do you know about Manitoba? (If you can state some facts regarding weather, environment or maybe events/holidays )

N. How long you want to stay in Manitoba?
O. Do you have relatives/friends in other province aside from Manitoba?

P. Do you think you can easily find a job in Manitoba and why? What are the websites you are using to find available jobs in MB? Can you site some companies that you remember?

good news... i called SLEC Global and was told thatour med results is already submitted.

this means that we passed the medical.

i just need to wait for my ECAS to be updated to "medical received", then expect for our PPR anytime this month be positive...be positive ... ;D
