The regional itinerant services come to Thompson only once a year and May 29-31 is the determined date for this year. IP since Jan 11 and did not hear anything till date. When I called IRCC today, they said background check still not yet completed. Only 3 weeks is left before they come for the itinerant service and no invite yet. This is sooooo frustrating

Wife and me passed the test today. Interview went well. The lady officer was super nice. Checked the docs., mainly ID's and passports, asked few general questions. She told everything were fine with our file and nothing else is required to be done.Total 10-15 minutes and we were done. We were told to wait for 3 -5 months to receive oath invite. May happen earlier as Winnipeg CIC is trying hard to clear the long queue faster and expedite the process. One advise....read and remember the book thoroughly for the exam. Nothing else is required. Good luck to all.

Hi everyone,
we received the oath invitation letter today, for May 29th. Please note that I had put a request for a ceremony date prior to July 29th because of professional circumstances. These circumstances were deemed reasonable based on documentation I provided - in short, I would not necessarily expect other Winnipeg applicants to receive the oath invitation as fast as we have.

Can anyone remind me of how long the ceremony takes?
Thanks a lot!
