I have a question. I am in a very confusing situation.

i will be applying for my student visa in a few months. If at the time of application for my student visa i am pregnant. do I need to let immigration know that? i plan to apply for student visa while 7 months pregnant.

the baby will be born 2 months before I leave for school in Canada. i am from Jamaica so i need a TRV. it is my aim to apply TRV for the baby after birth and have baby accompany me for a stay of 2-3 months in Toronto. i do have family members in Toronto who can be of assistance. do you believe i will get in any sort of trouble? will it appear to CIC that i misguided them?
can the TRV be denied for my baby if they believe so?

or should i enter Canada first, get my student visa issued and then inform immigration that i gave birth after applying for my student permit, then apply baby visa.

Please any advise?

Jwtaylor.

i shall suggest you not to be in such a situation.your medical test will raise off the curtain and while at the POE the immigration officer will got to know about your 7 months pregnency[even a 5th grader can tell that],moreover the baby would not be born canadian and would'nt be getting any Govt.benefits.To conclude,have a peaceful maternity period and after that only you shoud think about the travelling.
good luck

They may ask you how you will do your studies with a small baby with you. They have the right to deny you a student visa or deny your baby a TRV.

You say " If at the time of application for my student visa i am pregnant." Does that mean that you are not pregnant yet? If that is so, you should not try to get pregnant in that situation. If you already are, you can try applying for a student visa and see if you get it and if your baby gets a TRV. If not, you will have to think about if you will leave your baby to study or if you would rather postpone your studies until your child is a bit older.

@jwtaylor...

ofcourse medical test will never hide the facts... ur application will be crackled if visa officers found u are trying to misguide them.. so its better to b honest for whatever situation it is...

thanks guys... i agree.

medical is not required for my country for any temporary residence visa to canada. so they will only know after baby is born.....that was my thinking.
but i do agree...school first....i just need to convince my husband.

Besides, how do you control exactly when you will get pregnant? Sometimes it might take a bit longer so instead of going to Canada with a 2 month old, you might be going to Canada when you are too pregnant to fly or you are going to Canada last chance but arrive with no health care and have to pay for the delivery. You have to figure that into your plans as well.
