Hello All,

I applied for Inland Spousal Sponsorship in October, 2014 and have received AOR.

I just saw the processing time and it says 15 MONTHS for the first stage. It was 14 months be a few days back i checked. Its really depressing!!!

Please share your experience. Is there anything good coming up? Are they doing anything to improve these timings??

Thanks

Have you considered withdrawing and going outland? Many people going outland get their PR visas in significantly shorter time than posted.

I heard its a long process of withdrawing and then submitting all over again with the documents, especially Police Certificate.

What about the fee?

I've heard you can use the same receipts again.

I am 9 Months in and thinking about applying Outland now, this wait is just too much...

I dont know what the hell they are doing for why its such slow processing times, its ruining lives.

If you think it's too much, wait until you hit the 15 month mark.

Are they going to do anything about this at all?? It seems like I have wasted 9 months here just waiting and I am thinking of applying via other methods...

Oh, but then you would lose the implied status that you now have, that has been allowing you to continue to work...legally. ;)

Sorry to highjack the thread, but this is for Mikey! Are you excited yet? 2 more days until the big 'landing' day :D

I am just hoping to hear something good. Waiting for a miracle to happen and the processing time to reduce next year. Just being positive!

Withdrawing and applying all over again seems really hectic.

I would bank on 24 months for the initial assessment for inland. As Chris Alexander says, outland is always the preferred method. I think timelines will only increase for inland. The government is sending a clear message they do not want people to apply inland and are making efforts to ensure it is the unattractive choice.

Then they need to tell the call centre to stop encouraging people to apply inland.

Oh...It Can and WILL get worse with Christmas holidays coming I bet processing times will get even longer
