Hi guys,
I have got student visa recently but due to some circumstances i might not be able to got to Canada on study visa now.
So my question is,
If in future I apply for Canadian PR directly from my home country (India), will this student visa affect my future PR application?

Really appreciate your assistance

No impact
Thank you.
One more thing
I have just completed my msc physics. So, now what should be my next step?
should I go for B.ed. firstly and then gain experience or just gain experience in teaching and apply for PR.
what would be the best option to get PR easily in future, according to you?

Thank you.

A foreign B Ed doesn’t guarantee that it will be recognized in Canada or will lead to a teaching job in Canada. The good news is that STEM and French teachers are in much more demand than arts and social sciences. Would suggest contacting the licensing boards from different provinces to determine whether the BEd program in your home country will lead to licensing in that province. They may have evaluated the program for someone else. Would focus on provinces where getting hired with a Canadian degree is more likely. Do you have work experience already? Have you looked to see whether you qualify for PR already?

Thank you.

Hello Me947,

The first thing to do is to calculate your CRS score on cic.gc.ca with your Masters. A Master will give you more points than a B.ed. and a B.ed. will not in any way mean that you will be employed in Canada as a teacher.

Since your interest is immigrating through the EE, your Master is enough academic qualification. Calculate your score to see if your qualify or are eligible to apply, evaluate your credentials with any of the ECA, take IELTS and score above LRSW 8777, and create an EE account and jump in the pool and wait for a draw which has not happened since December 23, 2020.

JS

So, Its really long process i guess.
And i wasn't thinking of doing B.ed to get teacher job in canada, but i thought it may be easy to get direct PR after doing B.ed. and gaining experience in teaching.

Also will it have any impact on tourist visa?
Please tell me, my parents will go on tourist visa as my brother and sister are there.
So if i try for tourist visa, will this student visa impact my future tourist visa??
