Will my study visa get rejected if my marks are too low?

Hello everyone, I'm planning to study in Canada. I'm applying through a counselor and they're certain that if I score good marks in my IELTS exam then I'll be accepted in the university. But my graduation marks are really low. I'm an economics graduate from a prestigious Indian college with a grade of 5.6. I'm afraid that even after scoring good marks in IELTS exam and getting accepted in the university I might get rejected by visa officials. Anyone have any similar experience. I'm really looking forward to immigrating through Canada studies and possibly get Canadian work experience but my graduation marks are becoming a hurdle.

Here's the link to the course : https://continue.yorku.ca/certificates/certificate-in-business-administration/

Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks

It's about being accepted by the university. To be honest, I don't think a certificate program will get you far in terms of finding a job and securing enough points for immigration. Business admin graduates are a dime a dozen in Canada, so you will have a tough time securing employment and standing out from the crowd.

What kind of degree do you hold? To stay competitive with current applicants, you need a Master's degree. Your study visa will not be approved if you go for a certificate program since it doesn't sound like it will progress your career at all. How does studying a certificate program in Canada help you in India?

Hey, thanks for the reply. Well, my real goal is to be an engineer but I'm self-taught currently doing freelancing as of now. My real plan is to go to canada for studying and at the same time experience the country. And after I'm graduated, I'd apply for positions in IT like backend web developer or data analyst. I have some good experience in programming, good enough to land an internship at least(even in India I'm getting some offers even though I"m self taught). I'm going for the diploma just because my undergraduation marks are way too low to have any good options for me.
I hold a bachelors in economics currently.

EDIT: You said it's about being accepted by the university. Did you meant I'll get the visa if universtiy accepts the admission?
