I am an Indian citizen came to Canada on April 29 2024 . I had classes starting on may 6 for the program ichs on Algonquin college. Ichs is basically a 4 month course needed for taking any program related to health in my college which is Algonquin college Ottawa . I needed to study that 4 month course to get into my main program which was occupational therapist starting on sep . As I did not like the course I withdrawed from ichs and changed my course to social service worker on sep. so when I started my classes on social service worker on sep I failed in the course on November , so I withdrawed from social service worker and applied for early childhood education on 2025 may 7 which I am going to study . So my worrie is that if all the break I took in between count as unscheduled break and will it affect me while applying for pgwp

Did you get a new study permit and PAL? It doesn’t appear that you have ever met the terms of your study permit. I would suggest speaking to the international student office at Algonquin and IRCC because you may have already lost your study permit. If you complete the full ECE program as a full-time student (last semester can be part-time) then you will qualify for PGWP based on current rules.

IF you still have a valid study permit and it is far from clear that you do since you have not met the terms of your study permit. If you study and you don’t have a valid study permit or aren’t entitled to one because you never met the terms of your first study permit then no you won’t qualify for PGWP. You really need to meet with both your school and an immigration lawyer to determine whether you need a new study permit which I suspect you do. You have not completed any of the semesters since your study permit started so have not met the terms of your study permit.
