will it be a prob if we land in canada after the start date of classes??

Hello every one
i had my flight 0n 20 th of august but my dad was ill just before one day of my travel.Due to medical emergency, i have asked for the extension of airticket for the next available date of that particular airlines and travel plan . my dad got admitted into the hospital and was under critical condition.i was not clear when my dad would recover at that point of time. i mailed my university,expalined abt the scenario and asked them abt the last possible date of attending the uni for this fall and asked for extension.they have responded and sent me the letter of extension.
the extension letter states that the classes begin from sep 10 and the last date for registration is sep 17.
now that my father has recovered ,i enqired my airlines abt the next available flight with the same fare and travel plan.its available on sep 11.
now my question is
will it be a problem if i land in canada on sep 12,,i.e after the begining of my classes??
or is it okay as the last date of registartion is sep 17??
do we have any prob at port of entry??
any one in this forum faced this kind of situation earlier??

May ur father recover soon, it will not be a problem but do take the extension letter with u.
