Hi,

Do the immigration / visa officers call the enployers to validate the duties and salary in the letter of employment? Is that the only thing that they will ask or will they dig up / check the LMO that was applied by the company for the employee before?

Would appreciate answers from those who experienced this.

Thanks!

They don't call everyone's employers but when they do, they'll probably ask questions to verify your work experiences at that particular work place. For my situation, they called and asked my boss how long I worked there for and what were my duties and they asked some questions about our company, that's it. I didn't need a LMO so they didn't ask me anything about that.

What bugs me is if they call my employer and talk to someone new or a temporary manager they could totally screw things over by giving brief duties or whatever. Do they only speak to the person who wrote the letter right who technically is my boss. Today for example we have a training manager whos here for a few week's covering shifts...

I think you are worrying to much. They will want to speak with your boss, not with some random manager.
