Hello. I am a Canadian Citizen since 2014, dual citizenship - Philippines. Anyhow, my family and I have decided to go back home (maybe for good) to the Philippines.. Too many saying that I can't do that because I might loose citizenship...
My questions are;
1. will I loose citizenship?
2. Am i required to come back to Canada every 6 months?

If you could answer my inquiries, and all other information that you may know, please comment as well. Thanks. All answer greatly appreciated.

1. No.
2. No.

You can stay outside of Canada as long as you want and still retain citizenship.

If you do not already have a Canadian passport maybe consider getting one before you leave as never say never about returning and possibly less hassle to get whilst still in the country.

No. You will not lose citizenship

However if you enter Canada as dual citizen with your other passport and it requires a visa, CBSA people may need some time to prove your citizenship. You can't apply eTA because you are not considered foreigner.

The guaranteed way of entering Canada as Citizen is Canadian passport
