Will I get rejected if i apply for Cybersecurity

Hello,
I have done Bachelors in Telecommunication Engineering but I am very good in the Networking and Network Security as well as computer Programming. In fact, My Final year Project is based on the Cyber Security and Data Encryption.

Therefore, I want to study Cybersecurity as Masters Degree but i wonder that wether it would be considered as related to Telecommunication Field, or will i get the rejection ?

It merits mentioning that I have done CCNA, and I have studied courses like Network Security, Data Communication and Networking, and Microprocessor Programming. All these courses are the major requirement to study Cybersecurity and I am very good at it.

Here I have seen many cases who got rejection on the basis that "your proposed study plan is not in the light of one of your background education".
But as you are saying you are very much comfortable and good in networking and computer programming and also your Final Year Project was in networking and programming so on the grounds of all these facts, you can write a good "Statement of Purpose - SOP", stating that why you are choosing this domain, you have done your final year project under the similar domain, you have passed CCNA, you have studies this this this course regarding networks and programming, etc...

So go ahead. Apply and must explain everything which I said above and even more details in your SOP.

YES mate!
SOP really matters.
Believe me there were people having some odd cases but they explain them well in their SOPs and secured their VISAs.

What are the chances for someone who works over the years , got certificates and licenses in the UAE as a security guard and intends to study cyber Security in Canada thereby unifying both knowledge since they're basically about prevention , protection and safeguarding of assets and lives .
